Well, it’s that time of year again! We’ve had an unseasonably warm November here in the front range of Colorado, so earlier this week we were enjoying some high 50-60 degree days if you can believe it. I guess Mother Nature decided that the first really cold day should give us a big, wintery middle finger, because it’s currently 3 degrees and has been snowing all day. I’m all for a good snowfall in December–I mean, that’s how life is supposed to work in Colorado, but is it too much to ask to ease into a little bit? Honestly.
Anyway, I guess this wacky weather is A Thing That Coloradoans Get Used To, but I do not yet fall into that category in some way or another. But, in happier news, Christmas is around the corner and it’s Trent and my first Christmas as a couple in which we actually have room for a real, live Christmas tree in our home. Not only that, but this is Trent’s first ever year of having a live tree! Isn’t she gorgeous? We have yet to amass a good number of ornaments, so don’t mind how bare she is, and pay no attention to her lack of skirt. But we love her regardless of her nakedness. If you look really closely, you can even see the first present under there, for Miss Ailey, of course, sent from her great aunt in Delaware. Perfect.
