So, I’m going to let you in on a secret. The best kept secret about Colorado is, in fact, the weather! Everyone we love back east keeps asking how we’re faring in this arctic climate because isn’t Colorado so FREEZING COLD SNOW ALL THE DAYS, and actually the answer is, no, no it is not. Last night was the third snow of the season, but other than that it’s randomly 70 degrees in December. It can snow in the morning, and get to overnight lows in the 10s of degrees, and then be bright and spring-y by noon. It’s really the weirdest.
But today, oh no. The weather was not having its usual fun flip-flopping time. It was freezing all day. It snowed last night and we woke up to a winter wonderland, which I can appreciate like the rest of them. But now I’m wearing my jacket inside and wearing multiple layers on every part of my body because it is less than 5 degrees and excuse me, but I can’t get used to you, Winter, when Spring happens every other day at lunch time.
